What are the benefits of a Flat Rooflight?

Do I need planning permission for a Rooflight?
No, in most instances, you do not need planning permission for a rooflight, as long as certain conditions are met. However, it’s better to check with your local planning authority first before installing a roof light.
Can you put a Flat Rooflight on a pitched roof?
Every roof on a building structure should have some degree of pitch to allow for proper water drainage. However, a steeply pitched roof cannot usually support a rooflight due to angles that affect internal drainage systems. Our rooflights are are intended for installation onto a fully weathered and insulated builders upstand on flat and low pitched roofs. The rooflight can accommodate being installed on an upstand with a pitch of up to 5 degrees but please note this may result in a lopsided appearance. Can you walk on a Flat Rooflight?
No, our rooflights do not support weight from above, so cannot be walked on.
Are Rooflights noisy when it rains?
Not necessarily. Our rooflights here at Lantern Superstore have been designed with noise reduction features such as double glazing. This provides a good sound barrier against noises such as rain.
